Why plastic-free?

Micro plastics are the new threat to coral reefs. Post-consumer plastic packaging is still single use and since only 9% of the world’s plastic is actually recycled — meaning it ends up in landfill or the oceans. This is why Sun Juju is packaged in infinitely recyclable aluminium because 75% of all aluminium ever created is still in use today. Plastic can only be recycled around 10 times before becoming black, brittle and unusable, while aluminium is infinitely recyclable.

Kind to skin and the planet

Our gentle non-greasy, vegan and reef safe mineral formula is free of chemical filters like oxybenzone, octinoxate which were banned in Hawaii in 2018. Sun Juju is TGA licensed and the formula is made locally in Australia. Sun Juju offers naturally broad spectrum protection from UVA/UVB rays, as well as protection from free-radicals thanks to antioxidant Kakadu Plum.
